Poetry

From the firth I picked a stone

From the firth I picked a stone
And fell him at the mercy of the closing-in tide
So that it consumed him entirely.
And I praised and praised in remembrance
The loveliness of his corpse warm,
When it was for the sake of the water-foam
That I walked to there in the first place.
